Ms. VanBoxtel started martial arts at the age of 10 at Karate America. Under the instruction of Mr. Jeff Denu, she reached the rank of Black Belt on October 30, 2000, at the age of 13. Over three years later, Ms. VanBoxtel continued her training to achieve her 2nd Degree Black Belt on November 1st, 2003. Currently, she attends Lawrence University majoring in Vocal Performance and Music Education. Her future goals include: entering the field of teaching, earning her 4th Degree Black Belt, and continuing her martial arts training and instructing.
